Why Habilitas
We create a forever home for people with disability.
A home of their own where they can live independently for the long term.
The Forever Home
Designed to live, not to flip
We specialise in creating forever homes from the ground up for SDA participants. Our forever homes are co-designed with SCs, SILs, OTs and participants with features to meet their unique needs, in locations connected to the community. A Habilitas home is not just a place to stay, it’s a place to call home.
Features for independent living
From automated blinds, lights, and watering systems to wheelchair-accessible kitchens, beds, and baths, we meticulously tailor every aspect of the home to enable out participants to maintain their independence.
Co-design approach
Each forever home is meticulously selected based on stringent criteria. Situated near transportation, shops, parks, medical services, gyms, and recreation centers, each location is chosen to facilitate independent living and community engagement.
Maximising quality of life & lowering cost of living
Every Habilitas home is designed to maximise a participant’s quality of life & lower cost of living.
In contrast to numerous SDA options, we provide participants with the flexibility to personalise the home's interior to precisely meet their needs. Automation, accessibility, colours, landscaping, we can work with you to create a forever home suited to your specific needs.
Solar panels, batteries, and insulation are included as standard features in every residence, and each home is strategically located near all necessary amenities to minimise ongoing living expenses.
The SDA funding journey can be long and complex
As a boutique WA-based firm, you get the support of a single point of contact through every step of the journey, from enquiry to hand over of the keys.
Offering education, support and guidance, we help participants and their support coordinators find a way through the complexity.
